LiveTribeBot collects publicly available event listings from venue websites. We use this information to publicize live music events on Live Tribe and share them with our followers on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and X. We also link back to the original venue and show listings to help fans find them directly.
If you would like LiveTribeBot to crawl your venue's website, please contact us via our contact form.
To ensure your listings can be processed, each show posting on your site should include:
- Event name (show title)
- Date of the event
- Start time (doors open or show start)
- Flyer or event image
Listings should follow a consistent format across your schedule page so they can be reliably parsed.
LiveTribeBot will not access pages restricted by robots.txt. If your website blocks other bots, you can allow LiveTribeBot by adding the following to your robots.txt file:
User-agent: LiveTribeBot
Allow: /
- User Agent:
LiveTribeBot/1.0 - Rate Limiting: A minimum of 30 seconds between requests to the same domain
- Frequency: Each venue is typically crawled once per week
- Scope: Only schedule/event pages are accessed
LiveTribeBot fully respects robots.txt. To block our bot from crawling your site, add the following to your robots.txt file:
