Manos Barkatsas
Manos Barkatsas（マノス・バルカツァス）は、ブリュッセルを拠点に活動するギタリスト、即興演奏家、作曲家です。彼の音楽はジャズ、地中海のメロディックな要素、そしてエレクトロニックの実験的手法を行き来しながら、現代的な即興演奏の言語を展開しています。彼の出身地であるクレタ島は、彼の音楽実践における伏線（アンダーグラウンド・スレッド）として機能していますが、彼の作品を地理的あるいはスタイル上の枠組みに縛り付けるものではありません。
これまでに、アキレス・ナバロ（Aquiles Navarro）、ジョヴァンニ・ディ・ドメニコ（Giovanni Di Domenico）、クリス・ピツィオコス（Chris Pitsiokos）、ジョアン・ロボ（João Lobo）といった国際的な実験音楽シーンの重要なミュージシャンたちと共演しており、国際的なフェスティバルで発表されたグループやプロジェクトに参加してきました。また、世界中のアーティストが集う場となっているブリュッセルの即興コンサートシリーズ「Amazing Grez Sessions」の共同創設者兼キュレーターを務めているほか、クレタ島のイラクリオンで開催される即興音楽に特化したフェスティバル「AKRA festival」の主催・企画も手掛けています。
Manos Barkatsas is a guitarist, improviser, and composer based in Brussels. His music moves between
jazz, Mediterranean melodic references, and electronic experimentation, developing a contemporary
improvisational language. His Cretan origin functions as an underground thread in his musical prac-
tice, without limiting his work to geographical or stylistic boundaries.
He has collaborated with important musicians of the international experimental scene, such as Aquiles
Navarro, Giovanni Di Domenico, Chris Pitsiokos, and João Lobo, participating in groups and projects
that have been presented at international festivals. He is the co-founder and curator of the Amazing
Grez Sessions in Brussels, a series of improvisational concerts that serves as a meeting point for art-
ists from all over the world and AKRA festival a festival Dedicated to improvised music taking place in Heraklion Crete
VICTOR TSILIMPARIS
Victor Tsilimparis（ヴィクター・ツィリンパリス）は、ローズ・ピアノ、ピアノ、シンセサイザーを扱うギリシャ出身のピアニスト、作曲家、即興演奏家です。彼は即興演奏をもとに音楽を構築します。演奏を録音し、切り取り、ループさせ、再構築していく手法をとっており、そのサウンドは反復と中断によって推進され、ジャズ、エレクトロニック・ミュージック、オープン・コンポジションの間に位置しています。
ベーシストの George Palamiotis、ドラマーの Sotiris Tsolis とのトリオ・アルバム『The Persistence of Doubt』（Byrd Out、2025年）は、ライブ・セッションとして始まり、スタジオで解体・再構築されました。また、彼のEP『Dance Music for Sleeping』（2023年）は、音楽、聴覚、そして睡眠をテーマにした実験的な作品です。
彼はトリオ「TROT」のメンバーとしても活動しており、ニューヨークの Downtown Music Gallery をはじめ、ヨーロッパやアメリカで演奏を行ってきました。
ふたりは共同で、2021年にアルバム『Color is a Creation of mind』をリリースしています。
Victor Tsilimparis is a Greek pianist, composer and improviser working with Rhodes, piano and synthesizers. He builds music out of improvisation: recording it, cutting it up, looping it and reassembling it. The result sits somewhere between jazz, electronic music and open composition, driven by repetition and interruption.
His trio album The Persistence of Doubt (Byrd Out, 2025), with George Palamiotis on bass and Sotiris Tsolis on drums, started as a live session and was taken apart and rebuilt in the studio. His EP Dance Music for Sleeping (2023) is an experiment in music, listening and sleep.
He also plays in the trio TROT and has performed in Europe and the US, including at Downtown Music Gallery in New York.
Together thay have released the record Color is a Creation of mind in 2021.
