袋坂ヤスオ
1971年北海道生まれ。能楽を学んだ後、1996年より舞台の道に入る。2014年に舞踏作品「天人五衰」を発表。その作品では自作の能面を使用した独特の表現法「ケツ能」を確立し、好評を得る。2017年から2020年まで、京都舞踏館にて毎週土曜日にロングラン公演。これまで韓国、北京、香港など東アジア各地での公演歴あり。
Fukurozaka Yasuo
Born in Hokkaido in 1971. Started learning Noh theatre in Kyoto at the age of 18, and began a life on the stage in 1996. His Butoh piece, The Decay of the Angel (2014) established him a high reputation for his distinctive use of Noh masks. In 2017 performed in Beijing for the symposium “Origin & Grow : Choreographic Dialogue among East Asian Dancers”. In 2025 performed in Hong Kong for the symposium “Butoh in Six Acts”. He incorporates the artistry and colours of Noh into his performances with respect to classical Japanese theatre art form.
